McIntosh & Signal

McIntosh & Signal was formed in 1990 as a law partnership, from the life partnership of Rob McIntosh and Jane Signal.

After Rob died in 2007, Jane carried on the practice. She is delighted to now work with Scott Parkes, Tom Gilchrist and a friendly and experienced support team, from gracious premises in Denbigh Street, a short stroll from Feilding town centre.

We offer legal advice on all matters to do with the ownership, operation, purchase and sale of farms and rural businesses, of whatever size, including dairy farming and sheep and beef units. We also assist those many and varied businesses and contractors that support the rural sector.

A particular specialty is our expertise in advising our clients on the best ways to plan for and implement farm succession.

Rural law has so many facets and we have experience with most. Some examples include;

  • Share-milking agreements and any disputes arising from them
  • Independent contract milking agreements
  • Grazing agreements
  • Rural block subdivisions
  • Fonterra share transactions
  • Boundary and fencing issues
  • Employment agreements and disputes
  • Health and safety matters
  • Co-operative Companies.
